Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain healthcare compliance policies and training programs.
  • Support transparency reporting and risk assessments.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring and drive risk awareness.

Key Requirements:

  • 5-7 years in pharmaceutical/medical compliance, with regional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ABPI, EFPIA, and IFPMA Codes.
  • Experience with transparency reporting and risk assessment.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%).

SciPro has partnered with a Clinical Stage Biotech company is seeking an experienced Controller to report to their CAO. This individual will be responsible for leading accounting operations, managing the company's accounting policies and procedures on various accounting topics, implementing SOX, and providing financial support to clinical, CMC, medical, and research teams. This role involves managing a team of accounting professionals, assessing internal control and accounting systems, consolidating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, and preparing monthly financial statements for senior management in collaboration with FP&A.   Responsibilities Oversee accounting operations, monthly and quarterly close processes, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX 404(a). Drive improvements in reporting systems to increase efficiency and reduce timelines, while maintaining and improving accounting policies and procedures. Provide support for quarterly and annual SEC filings (Form 8-K, 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy, etc.) and lead planning and coordination of external audits and reviews. Work closely with other departments for project and clinical accruals, vendor payments, HR-related financial processes, and develop business partnerships with R&D and HR teams. Provide effective leadership, manage and develop the accounting team, and ensure the highest standards of ethics and values.   Qualifications BS/BA in Business, Accounting, or Finance with an MBA, CPA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification; 10+ years in accounting and finance, preferably in biotech. Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; Experience with NetSuite and Coupa preferred; Experience at a “Big 4” public accounting firm preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment; self-starter who proactively addresses issues.
